Striker Zubair Karbhani hogged the limelight by scoring a fine hat-trick in leading Companeroes SC to a fluent 4-0 win against Clifford Carmen Foundation in a boy’s under-14 league encounter of the 15th Bandra West Football League 2016, sponsored by Baba Siddique & Jeeshan Siddique and conducted by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association) and played at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao, Municipal grounds. Zaid Chataiwala netted the fourth goal to complete Companeroes victory.
Meanwhile, Bandra Packers proved too strong for Sea View SC as they romped to a facile 6-0 win. Prolific goal scorers Joel Barnes and Adam Alvares, both scored a brace of goals each, while Joshua D’Souza and Rohan Bangera, both netted one apiece to seal the big win.
In the third game, Carmelites Crusaders prevailed over Olpers SC by a close 2-1 margin. Godfred Swami and Aftab Merchant got the goals for Carmelites, while Olpers pulled one back through Reeve D’Mello.
