Zara Bakshi, from Glenmark Aquatics Foundation and Arman Jetha, from Otters Club, were the outstanding swimmers in the GAF-GMAAA Lower Age Group Swim meet, held at Dharavi Sports Complex swimming pool, here today. Both Zara and Arman emerge best in their respective 50 metres breast stroke , butterfly, individual medley and free style events in the 9 years sections. While for Zara it was almost like cake walk, leaving her rivals way behind, in all the events she took part,but it was notin the case for Arman, who was given a fright, especially in the 50m free style.

However, there was just one new record set during the one-day competition. The credit for the new mark went to Siya Devrukhkar, of CSMSS (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Samark Samiti). Siya broke the 2012 record of Sanjiti Saha of Khar Gymkhana in the 50m breast stroke, thus bettering Sanjiti’s timing of 00:54.28 secs by clocking 00:51.29 seconds.

BOYS (7 yrs):Vivian Setrhi ( GSC) – 212 pts – 3 golds.
GIRLS (6 yrs):Tiara Singh(GSC) – 18 pts – 3G+1S
BOYS (6 yrs):Vidan Gupota ( Vibgyor High)- 19 pts- 2G +2S .
GIRLS (5 yrs):Noopur Mistry ( CSMSS) – 13pts- 2G+n1B.
BOYS (5 yrs): Deon Palande ( PSP) – 28 pts – 4 golds.
