Yashasvi adjudged best U-16 cricketer


Yashasvi Jaiswal, a 15- years- old talented Mumbai allrounder, has been has been adjudged the best under-16 cricketer this year.  In their tenth year of the inception of the Ramesh Rajde Trust Scholarship ,Yashasvi received a cash prize of Rs 40,000 cash award  from the chief guest Anshuman Gaikwad, former India Test cricketer and national selector at a function here today. The award was received by his coach Jwala Singh, as Yashasvi was playing  in an All India tournament at Hyderabad.

Yashasvi thus joined the select band of players like India’s  Ajinkya Rahane, Dhaval Kulkarni, Suryakumar Yadav, Arman Jaffer,Sarfaraz Khan, Prithvi Shaw  and Iqbal Abddula, who were similarly honoured in the past.

 

Apart of  Yashasvi,  Museer Khan and Siddarth Akare  also received awards in under-14 and under-19 categery in  their tenth year of the scholarship.

 

Yashasvi was also selected for national cricket academy at Bangalore for the national camp for under 16 level. He had  scored more then 450 runes at the average around  87 and took 30 wickets in five matches in Vijay Merchant trophy this year. Incidentally, he was the highest individual scorer (203 not out) in this same tournament.
