Xavier’s Boys scored a comfortable 2-0 win over Utkarsh Mandal in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Saturday. Clifford Gareth struck the first goal in the 15th minute before Kiran Saigankar added the second in 68thminute.
In another match, Sterkem Pharma recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win against Classic FC. Sterkem took and early lead through Rohan Jadhav in the 6th minute and Nitin Panchal doubled the lead in the 27th minute. Zaid A got the lone goal for the losers in the 60th minute.
