World Champion Prashant More, former Asian and National Champion Sandeep Deorukhkar and former SAARC & Asian Champion Hidayt Ansari, are among the leading player who will be competing for the top honours in the Rs Rs 1.10 lakh prize-money 6th Bombay YMCA Mumbai District Ranking Carrom Tournamnet- 2019, organized by Proctor YMCA and co-sponsored by Muthoot Finance and will be played at the Proctor YMCA branch, Agripada, Mumbai Central from February 11 to 15, 2019.
This five-day tournament is being organized under the auspices of the Mumbai District Carrom Association and will consist of two events — men’s and women’s singles.
Over 350 carrom playres from Mumbai District have confirmed participate in this tournament. The other big guns who will be seen in action include former State Champion Mahendra Tambe, Anant Gayatry, World No. 2 Riyaz Akbar Ali, former State & National Champion Nagsen Etambe in the men event. The women’s competition will see top players which include State & District Champion Kajal Kumari, former National & State Champion Anupama Kedar, Sangeeta Chandorkar, former State Champion Shilpa Palnitkar.
The winners and runner-up will be presented with handsome trophies and cash awards.
International Umpire J.V. Sangam (Mumbai) has been appointed as ‘Chief referee’ and he will be assisted by Asst. Chief referee Sunil Khemkar.
