Western Railway chugged to a hard-fought 2-1 win against Mumbai Customs in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage football ground.
Reuben D’Souza, the spearhead of the Western attack struck the opening goal in the 32nd minute to give his team a 1-0 half-time lead. Midway through the second session, Customs managed to restore parity through a goal scored by Rinaldo Fernandes in the 63rd minute.
However, Western snatched a late winner with Ravikant Naidu finding the back of the net in the 83rd minute.
Results – Elite Div: Western Railway 2 (Reuben D’Souza 32nd, Ravikant Naidu 83rd) beat Mumbai Customs 1 (Rinaldo Fernandes 63rd).
