Viren Talreja’s fine allround show featured in MCC (Yellow)’s win over defending champions JSF (Jwala Sports Foundation) in their opening tie in the B4S-MCC PRO – 40 double-leg 5-Team league here at Oval Maidan today. Viren apart from scoring an unbeaten 38 in his side total of 203 for eight, bagged three wickets as JSF, in reply, were bowled out for 138.

In another tie, MCC (Green) defeated MCC (Blue) by 3 wickets. Put into bat, MCC (Blue) made 238 in the allotted 40 overs with Arsalan Oberoi top-scoring with 59. Chasing 239 for win, MCC (Green), thanks to Anuj Giri’s fine knock of 74, along with gutsy 70 by Hiral Panchal, they achieved their goal with three wickets in hand.
