Playing only his 6th PSA event, India’s Vikram Malhotra lifted his maiden title at Boca Raton, Florida, US. The Mumbai player, who is supported by ISP (Indian Squash Professionals) overpowered Ireland’s Arthur Gaskin in an impressive 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-7) victory.

The much awaited clash with both players who have contrasting styles of play had the hard hitting Gaskin trying to outpace the crafty Indian with speed and power play. Maintaining his composure, Vikram controlled the high pace as both players traded points with scores levelled midway through the first game. With some stunning court craft and shot making ability, Vikram took a 3 point lead before closing the first game 11-6.
The second and third games were almost a repeat of the first and displaying great consistency, Vikram closed the match with an emphatic 3-0 victory with vociferous crowd support
