Popular veteran film and television actor Mohan Bhandari is no more. He breathed his last yesterday night, after a long battle with Brain Tumor. A former State Bank of India employee, he left his job in 90’s, to focus his attention full time on TV serials and films.
Mohan came into limelight in 1987, with his performance in Sanjiv Bhattacharya’s popular DD serial ‘Chunauti’, which was the first serial on college campus. Mohan played a professor in this serial. Later, he performed in many Hindi films, including hit film ‘Pratighaat’. Later he performed character roles in many Hindi films, including second lead in film ‘Falak’.
Mohan Bhandari had featured in many Hindi serials like ‘Khandaan’, ‘Saat Phere’, ‘Parampara’,’Jeevan Mrityu’, ‘Gumraah’, ‘Patjhad’,’Mile sur Mera Tumhara’ . He also featured in 2005 feature film, ‘Mangal Pandey-The Rising’ of Aamir Khan and ‘Paheli’ of Shahrukh Khan. His son, who is also into acting field, features inpopular Tv serial ‘Tere Sheher Mein’.
