Veera United FC struck two quick first half goals to hand Colaba Sports League (CSL) a 2-0 defeat in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Tuesday. Striker Sameer Niyazi fired in the first goal in the 20th minute and two minutes later Praneet Patel scored the second goal which secured Veera United’s win.
Earlier in another match of the same division, Charkop FC fought back to share the spoils with Silver Innings FC in a 1-1 draw. Silver Innings did well to take the lead through Deepak Pal’s strike in the 25th minute, but six minutes later Charkop got the equaliser through Prathmesh Koli’s goal.
Results – Div-II: Silver Innings 1 (Deepak Pal) drew with Charkop FC 1 (Prathmesh Koli).
