Union Bank tame Sellebrity 4-1

Union Bank of India showed good coordination to combine nicely as a unit to record a convincing 4-1 win against Sellebrity SC in a first round match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Nadkarni Cup (knock out) Football Tournament, organised and sponsored by RCF and played at the RCF ground, Chembur on Sunday. The Union Bank strikers Shanon Pereira, Shravan Shetty, Daniel Muthu and Pratik Koli capitalised on the chances that came their way to score a goal each, while Sellebrity managed to reduce the margin of defeat through Obiora’s lone strike.

Meanwhile, Kenkre FC scored an identical 4-1 win against Millat FC. Samuel Bradley netted two goals while Prathamesh Rokade and Egypsio Noronha got one each for Kenkre, while Millat FC pulled one back through Danish Qureshi.

In another first round match, Mumbai Customs rallied to overcome Karnatak Sporting Association by a 3-1 margin. Akshay Saptoji netted a brace and Hekmet Singh one for Customs after Arhi Uchena had given the Karnatak outfit an early lead

Mumbai Customs 3 (Hekmet Singh 24th, Akshay Saptoji 28th, 90th) beat Karnatak SA 1 (Arihi Uchena 7th).

Kenkre FC 4 (Prathamesh Rokade 47, Samuel Bradely 50, 80, Egypsio Noronha 86) beat Millat FC 1 (Danish Qureshi 30).
