Striker Tyson Pereira scored the lone crucial goal, which enabled Indian FC prevail over FC Kolovery 1-0 in the Men’s Open 9th and concluding round match of the 16th Kalina Football League, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Parish Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church ground, Kalina.
Indian FC and Kolovery, both finished with the same number of 20 points each and qualified for the semi-finals. But, the former topped the table on head-to-head basis.
Kalina Village Boys (Red) who drew goalless with Kalina United, completed the league with 16 points and in third position and will meet FC Kolovery in the penultimate round.
Kalina Rangers defeated Kalina Village Boys (Black) 2-1. Sachin Rawat and Nikhil Shukla were bang on target for the Rangers, while Amol Panchal got the lone goal for the losers.
The win helped Rangers to tally 14 points and clinch the fourth place to also progress to the last four. They will meet Indian FC in the semi-final.
