Defending champions Indian FC came up with an impressive performance to blank KVB Franco Sports 3-0 in a Men’s round-robin league match of the 17th Kalina Football League 2017, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church grounds, Kalina.
The highlight of Indian FC comfortable march to victory was the brilliant efforts from their dashing striker Tyson Pereira, who scored all the three goals to complete a fine hat-trick. Leading the charge from the front, the opportunistic striker Tyson did well to captitalise on the opportunities that came his way to successfully find the net and seal the victory and the three points.
In another league match, FC Kolovery SC showed great determination and the ability to work hard as they managed to carve out a narrow 2-1 win against a spirited Kalina Rangers. In a well-contested encounter, strikers Joyson Galbano and Gleason Rodrigues struck a goal each to help Kolovery secure the win, while Kalina Rangers managed to reduce the deficit through Bipin Rawat’s efforts.
In an Inter-Parish (veteran men’s) match St. Anthony’s, Vakola prevailed over, St. Anthony’s, Malwani 4-2 via the tie-breaker after the match finished in a 1-1 draw.
