Vinod Solanki’s twin strikes were the feature of Alphonso Football Academy’s fluent 2-0 win afainst Chedda Nagar Prodigy SC in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League 2016-2017, and played at the K.J. Somaiya College ground. The dashing striker Solanki scored the first goal in the 8th minute and netted the second in the 32nd minute.
In another match of the same division, St. Rock FC defeated Chembur YMCA by an identical 2-0 margin. Avdhut Solanki and B. Rizvi were on target for the winning side.
