Tushar Shahani, Neel Joshi and Aakash Gupta, all from the Jindal Squash Academy, emerged champions in their respective under-19, under-17 and under-15 categories on the final day of the 6th JSW –All India Sunil Verma Memorial Squash Open Tournament held at JSW Squash Courts, at Vasind (Thane) here last night.

While Tushar and Neel recorded straight games victories over their respective opponents, Aakash dropped a game before overcoming Mohit Bhatt 11-8, 11-7, 7-11, 11-3.
Maharashtra’s Tanishka Jain, upset top seeded Gurlin Kaur, of Delhi 13-11, 11-9, 11-6 in the girls under 15 final, while hosts Navmi Sharma, who had earlier toppled top seeded Bhavna Goyal in straight games (11-8, 11-7, 11-1) , continued her giant-killing run by outplaying second seeded Mira Kamat 11-6, 11-6, 11-5 to claim the under-19 honours.
