The Sports Gurukul (TSG) having promoted Sports and Physical Education coaching in Mumbai and several other parts of the country for many years has now launched the TSG Football School, which is being powered by Eric Benny Sports Management (EBSM), Deutsches Football Internat (DFI) Germany.

Paresh Kothari, Co-founder of TSG told media persons at a press conference in Mumbai that the TSG has started the TSG Football School which will be officially opened on August 16, 2018. Also present was Jay Shah, also the Co-founder of TSG and Eric Benny, founder of EBSM and the football coaches. “The Sports Gurukul now launches a one of a kind opportunity for aspiring footballers and coaches alike to fulfil their potential and become professionals.”
“It has been our continuous endeavor to offer the best grass-root program in sports. Football is one such sport where we are seeing very high interest levels after cricket and hence through this partnership with EBSM and DFI Germany, we want to raise the bar for football coaching across the city.”
Benny said, “It’s glad that we have joined hands with TSG. They have been doing a great job in Sports and Physical Education. Our objective is very simple as we want to create a pyramid and would work with about 1000 children as we want to create an opportunity for many children and then work with the best of the best.”
“We have designed special training progams that will help us to empower youth to accelerate their football career. The objective is to provide the best football training and help educate coaches as well as to consult and mentor the youth of the nation,” Benny added. Shah mentioned that initially the TSG Football School will operate in three centres – Santacruz, Wadala and Chandivali. Once the final selection and scouting is done we have plans to hold our training programmes in 15 centres from Colaba in South Mumbai to Kandivali and Malad in the western suburbs.
Our program offers a unique blend of grass-root training which follows the best of international training methods and practices to provide a pathway for children to move up the ranks and make it as a professional player both in India and Internationally. Over the last 16 years, over 1 Lakh participants have undergone physical education training and sports coaching with TSG. We nowoperate in over 30 cities across India and our aim is to create awareness for sports and physical education as an important part of holistic education.
