Defending champions MCC (Black) are on course with third successive win as they defeated MCC (Orange) by three wickets in the high-scoring tie in the 6-team MCC Double-Leg Pro-40 league, played at Oval Maidan here Yesterday.
Batting first, “Orange” hit up 220 for seven in the allotted 40 overs with half centuries from Ronak Parekh (61) and Ditwik Mohanty (55) being the main architect of their score. However, thanks to fine unbeaten 59 by Pranav Raj and equally impressive 59 by Rahul Yadav, “Black” did have some hiccups before they were home with three wickets in hand.
In the other tie, Atharva captured five wickets for 29 runs off seven overs as “Red” were bowled out for 163 in reply to JSF’s score of 210 all out.
