Tejas Chalke’s unbeaten 84 (with 6×4, 5×6) and deadly bowling by Raj More (3/7) and Zaid Khan 3/12) propelled MCC (Black) to a thumping 141 win over MCC (Yellow) in the final of the 6-team MCC Double leg MCC 40-over League, at Air India Sports Club Ground, Kalina, Santacruz (East), today.

Opting to bat first, the ‘Black’ top order batters went hammer and tongs to rattle up 208 for eight off the allotted 35 overs. In reply, MCC (Yelow) batters were all at sea and were shot out for 57.The league saw three centuries (including 200 by Ankush Paswan (Red), 124 by Dasrath Chavan (Black) and 113 by Faizan Rabbani (Green). While the bowling honours went to highest wicket-taker Zaid Khan (Black) with 27 wickets.
