Young Tanmay Rane, who was playing in the Juniors till last year shocked top seed Suhas Rane in the quarter finals of the MCF-4 Star All -Mumbai ranking tournament, hosted by Mandpeshwar Civic Federation at their sports complex at Borivali yesterday evening. Tanmay attacked well on both the flanks of his consistent opponent to manage the victory, by conceding just one game. Tanmay who is top seeded and favourite in Youth Boys Singles, won this men’s Singles match 4-1 to move into semi finals.

Earlier in the pre quarter finals both Suhas and Tanmay had tough time against their respective opponents Yash Doshi and Jai Jani. While Suhas overcame the challenge from Yash Doshi in six games, Tanmay had to struggle against the stiff resistance from Jai Jani in seven well contested games. Tanmay will play Bhavesh Apte in Men’s semi finals. Bhavesh had knocked out fifth seeded Mustafa Managerr in quarter finals.
