Tanishq Saxena, the boys under-14 top seed , was given a tough time by Sushant Rava before Tanishq triumphed in three pulsating games in the boys under-14singhles final of the Rotary Badminton Championships, hosted by Rotary Club of Mumbai (Ghatkopar) at Club Emerald (Chrmbur) here today. Tanishq after dropping the first game fought back tellingly to win the title 18-21, 21-19, 21-14.
Another top seed Taarini Suri, now being coached by former ex-international Hufrish Nariman , made her coach proud by her power-packed display, She moved fast and smashed hard to subdue the spirited challenge of Raksha Kandasamy 21-16,22-24,21-10 in a thrilling under-10 singles final.
