Middle order batsman Hardik Tamore played a marathon innings scoring an unbeaten 205 runs as Mumbai declared their first innings at a massive total of 619 for 7 wickets in 160 overs on the second day of their 4-day first round match against Delhi in the Buchi Babu All-India Invitation Cricket Tournament 2023 and played at SCF Cricket Ground, Salem on Wednesday.
In response, Delhi were struggling at 47 for the loss of two wickets in 16 overs.
Tamore resumed his innings at the overnight score of 56 runs and continued to dominate the Delhi bowlers as runs flowed freely from his bat and he comfortably reached his double century. Tanush Kotian and Atharva Ankolekar contributed 73 and 84 runs respectively. Earlier, Mumbai’s innings received the perfect start with opener Musheer Khan making a century 113 runs and Prasad Pawar scoring 72 runs on the first day.
