Thanks to hectic knock of 80 by Swapnil Salvi, Bandra Heroes defeated defending champions by two wickets in the Mitsui Shoji T-20 League, at the Police Gymkhana, here today.
Chasing Ghatkopar Jets’ score of 150 for 7 off 20 overs, the Bandra outfit, barring Swapnil, lost their top five batsmen before they could reach the 100 mark. Bandra Heroes did lose couple of wickets thereafter, but they were home with two wickets to spare.
Earlier, in the morning, Shashank Singh hit fine century against Mumbai City Riders. But his century went in vain as the police outfit chased down their target of 224 in 19 overs.
