Steadfast SC defeated IDBI 9-1 in a First Division play-off match of the District Football Association (MDFA) league 2015-2016, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday.
Leading Steadfast charge to victory was Alok Thakkar who scored four goals. Nehal Salunke added two while Vats Patel, Robin Baptista and Lordsten Soares got one each for the winners, while IDBI reduced the margin through Tushar Meher.
Result –Div-I play-off: Steadfast SC 9 (Alok Thakkar 4, Nehal Salunke 2, Vats Patel, Robin Baptista, Lordsten Soares) beat IDBI 1 (Tushar Meher).
