StacyPrince’s twinstrikes help Packers move into last 8


The twin strikes by Stacy Prince were the feature of Bandra Packers’ comfortable 3-0 win against Freunds SC in a women’s second round match of the 23rd Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Football Tournament and played under floodlights at the Demonte Park Recreational Ground, Bandra. Jessica D’Souza netted the third goal to seal Packers victory and a passage to the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, in veteran men’s competition, St. Joseph’s, Juhu riding on Cornelius Pereira’s lone strike overcame Kalina United by a narrow 1-0 margin.

 

In another match, Golden Gunners cruised to a 3-0 win against Juhu Sparks. Anthony Fernandes was on target twice while Douglas D’Sena got one to complete Gunners’ victory.
