Khar Gymkhana’s Kreishh Gurbaxani showed plenty of resilience and great fighting qualities as he recorded a come from behind 3-2 win against Shahyan Razmi of Radio Club in the best-of-five frames Sub-Junior snooker final of the Khar Gymkhana BSAM Sub-Junior and Junior Billiards & Snooker State Selection Tournament 2018 and played at the gymkhana’s billiards room.
The title clash between two young, upcoming talented cueists, witnessed an absorbing and a keen tussle for supremacy. The 12-year-old Shahyan, the youngest competitor who is supported by Yes Bank, got off to a dream start winning the first two frames to enjoy a healthy 2-0 lead.
But, the 15-year-old Kreishh taking full advantage of the home conditions gradually settled down and finally got going as he with the help of neatly constructed small breaks of 20s comfortably pocketed the third which proved to be the turning point. Thereafter, he potted steadily and went on to win the next two frames to clinch a 37-72, 29-56, 57-3, 54-26 and 50-24 to emerge champion.
In the semi-finals, Shahyan sidelined his elder brother Rayaan Razmi 2-0 (73-34, 46-33), while Kreishh with a break of 55 in the first frame eased past Sumehr Mago also of Khar Gymkhana 2-0 (72(55)-9, 58-30).

Final: Kreishh Gurbaxani beat Shahyan Razmi 3-2 (37-72, 29-56, 57-3, 54-26, 50-24).
