Somaiya youngsters score easy 4-0 win


Somaiya FC Under-21 showed good understanding and combined well as team as they recorded a fluent 4-0 win against United Villagers Welfare Association (UVWA) Youth in a Mumbai Second Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MFA) League 2023-2024 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Tuesday.

Dominating play from the start, Somaiya FC scored twice in each half through Adarsh Samani, Mayank Shetty, Hardik Purohit and Vedant G. to complete the winning tally of goals scored.

In another match played earlier, Blitzkrieg FC also had things much their own way and drubbed Iron Born FC Under-21 by a comfortable 3-0 margin.

Strikers Harsh Mishra, Amir Shaikh and Raj Choudhary were bang on target scoring a goal each to secure Blitzkrieg’s victory.

Later, in a First Division encounter, Miners (CFCI) got the better of Boxers FC by a fighting 5-2 margin. For Miners strikers Siddhesh Shinde and Tushar Pujari, both struck a brace of goals each and Kyran Pereira chipped in with one goal to round their winning tally, while for Boxers FC striker Abhitesh Paudial struck both the goals.

Results – Second Div: Somaiya FC Under-21 4 (Adarsh Samani, Mayank Shetty, Hardik Purohit, Vedant G.) beat United Villagers Welfare Association Youth 0.

Blitzkrieg FC 3 (Harsh Mishra, Amir Shaikh, Raj Choudhary) beat Iron Born FC Under-21 0.

First Div: Miners (CFCI) 5 (Siddhesh Shinde 2, Tushar Pujari 2, Kyran Pereira) beat Boxers FC 2 (Abhitesh Paudial 2).
