Solitaire Shuttlers and King Shuttlers qualified for the final round of the 2nd Yonex Sunrise- NSCI Badminton League (NBL), and played at the NSCI badminton hall, Worli.
At the end of the league phase, Solitaire finished on top with four wins. King and Roaring Raqueteers, both ended with three wins each, but the former clinched the second position on head to head basis. King Shuttlers had defeated Raqueteers 5-0 in the first round.
In the fifth and final round of matches, Solitaire Shuttlers sidelined Maverick Aces 4-1 for their fourth victory which assured them of the first position in the league.
Roaring Raqueteers scored a hard-fought 3-2 win against Rajdhani Royal, but their efforts went in vain as they had to settle for the third position.
Meanwhile, Giant Slayers recorded their only win when they prevailed over King Shuttlers by a 3-2 verdict.
