Kandivali Recreation Club Mumbai represented by Capt. Dinkar Selarka, Suhas rane, Tejas Naik, Anil Rasam & Yogesh Desai combined well to reach the finals of the team event in the 2nd State Ranking Veterans Table Tennis Tournament hosted by MIG Cricket Club, Bandra yesterday evening.

On their way to finals this Mumbai team knocked down many well balanced teams from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra.Incidentally, Kandivali Recreationwill start functioning in their newly renowated premises soon, with better facilities for Table Tennis.

However, in the finals their winning run was stopped by Solapur team represented by champions Manish Rawat, Dr.Nitin Toshniwal & Potdar. The visitors scored a 3-1 win over this Mumbai team, however their best player Dr. Nitin Toshniwal lost to KRC’s Tejas Naik , which was the biggest upset in team event. Tejas along with Dinkar Selarka also put up a good fight against the Solapur team before going down fighting in all four well contested games.
