Powered by the brilliance of striker Pragnesh Solanki, who scored two goals, PIFA Colaba FC registered a thumping 3-0 win against Central Railway in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage ground on Friday. Sohail Khatri got the other goal.
Dictating terms from the start, the Colaba side opened the scoring through Solanki in the 24th minute and went into the break with a slender 1-0 advantage. However, after switching ends, the Colaba outfit struck two more goals through Khatri in the 50th minute before Solanki struck his second goal to add the third goal and complete the fluent win for the Colaba team.
The next Elite Division match will be played between Central Bank of India and Union Bank of India, on Saturday, January 30 at 2.00pm.
