Indian Oil’s top seed Sneha More had to fight hard, especially in the first game, before she downed her Indian Oil teammate Madhuri Jayashetye 27-25, 25-5 to win the women’s singles title in the Poinsur Gymkhana Open carrom tournament, held at Poinsur Gymkhana here today. Another Indian Oil player Radhika Sawant clinched the third spot, with an easy 25-0, 19-17 win over Asha Nagpal.
The men’s singles title went to favourite Sandeep Dive, of Kurla Sabha, who outplayed Mangesh Pandit 21-15, 21-1 to clinch the trophy. Shaikh Khalik routed Nadeem Siddique 17-6, 18-7 to earn the third place.
