Skipper Vaisnavi slams 4 in Krida Prabhodini win

Skipper Vaishnavi Pawar leading by example struck four goals to steer Krida Prabhodini, Pune to a fluent 5-0 win against Next Sports Academy, Palghar in a fourth-round match of the WIFA Women’s Football League played at the Cooperage Football ground. This is the qualifying tournament, for the AIFF Indian Women’s Football League 2021-2022.

 

Earlier, PIFA Sports, Mumbai were held by arch-rivals India Rush SC, Mumbai to a goalless draw.

 

The dashing forward Vaishnavi netted her first goal in the 10th minute to give the Pune side an early lead. Seven minutes later Vaishani was again on target for her second and doubled the team’s lead 2-0.

 

The young Palghar outfit was unable to put a check on Vaishnavi who scored her third goal to complete her hat-trick and give the Pune team a 3-0 half-time cushion.

 

In the second session, Krida Prabhodini scored two more goals through Purva Gaikwad in the 50th minute, and Vaishnavi fired home the fifth goal in the 64th minute to complete their comfortable victory.
