Skipper Sadarangani steers Matunga Gym to twin wins


Skipper Naresh Sadarangani led by example winning the crucial third frames in both the home and away ties and helped Matunga Gymkhana ‘B’ win both the matches against Shivaji Park Gymkhana in Group-C during the second round fixtures of the Billiards & Snooker Association of Maharashtra (BSAM) organized annual Greatwhite-CCI Kekoo Nicholson Mumbai Billiards League 2023.

Besides Sadarangani the others who played in the second round included Aryan Parulekar, Percy Patel and Darshan Shah and they did well to narrowly win the away match 677-655 and on their home tables they dominated Shivaji Park Gymkhana by coasting to 772-666 win and claim a bonus point.

Meanwhile, Neville Razmi and sons Rayaan and Shahyan along with Hitesh Kotwani came good to win all the six matches at home and away against Matunga Gymkhana ‘A’ team.

Rayaan (-60 handicap) played consistently and rolled in breaks of 84 and 67 in the away match and then made a 80 break on the home table, while younger brother Shahyan compiled a break of 70 in the winning the final match of the round.
