Powered by Gaurang Shinde’s hat-trick of goals, Sara FA charged to a comfortable 5-0 win against Yawn FC in a Third Division matches of the MDFA League 2018-19 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
Sara FA who were better organized in both attack and defence, dominated play from the start. They opened the scoring throughJangitwar Dyneshwar strike in the 13th minute. In the very next minute Shinde scored his first goal and two minutes struck his second and the team’s third goal. Roheb Hazari increased the lead scoring the fourth in the 19th minute before Shinde once again found the target deep into additional period to complete his hat-trick and the margin of victory.
Meanwhile, FC Chincholi also had thing much their own way and romped to an easy 4-0 win against Indian Football Club in another match of the same division. The highlight of Chincoli’s win was Karan Debnath’s double strikes, while Shubham Pandey and Shadab Shaikh, added a goal each to seal the win.
In another match, Vipul Gorai romped to a close 1-0 win against Shree Mavli Mandal SC with striker Akshit Singh netting the lone goal early in the second half to secure the win and the full three points.
