Mazagaon Dock Inter Divisional Cricket Tournament for Late Datta Samant Memorial Cup was held on Saturday 4th November 2023, on the occasion of 91st birth anniversary of Late Dr. Datta Samant, the brave labour leader. This inter divisional tournament was organised by the Association of Engineering Workers Union for the workers of the world famous factory – Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd; at the Oval Maidan , Churchgate. They have been organising this tournament since 1998 .

Around 36 teams had participated in this tourmnament . Thousands of workers and supporters were present at the ground to pay tributes to their leader Late. Dr. Datta Samant and also to boost the morale of their respective teams.
The final match of the tournament was played between Sheet Metal Warriors and Launches & Boats teams. And this final match was won by Sheet Metal Warriors. Earlier in the morning, the tournament was inaugurated by Hon. Mr. Santosh Kumar Malik, Ececutive Director H.R. Mazagaon Dock, Mr. Sanjay Kolvankar,General Secretary of Association of Engineering Workers and Dr. Pramod Bhor, Director Orthopedic Dept. of Fortis Hospital, Vashi.
