State junior No.1 Shaurya Pednekar put up stirring performance to help hosts Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana ’A’ steamroll past Sane Guruji TT Academy 3-0 to inch closer to first division honours in the MSDTTA Inter-Club premier division league, hosted by Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana here today.

In their penultimate tie, Shaurya, took time to settle down as he trailed 0-2 with Punit kept varying the pace of his strokes, thus forcing Shaurya to make unforced errors,but thirdngame onwards Shaurya showed remarkable controlled aggression to get the better of Punit Desai 9-11,1-11,11-6, 11-8,12-10. This was followed by their another promising junior Dev Shroff thrashing his senior rival Jignesh Rahatwal in straight games. With the hosts leading 2-0, Maanav Mehta played with aplomb to down Ritvik Nagle 6-11,8-11,11-9, 11-8, 11-4 to clinch the tie.
