Mumbai CC (India) started their campaign on a winning note when they defeated Kalabagan (Bangladesh) in their opening tie in their first league match in the 5th Tun Ahmad Sarji Cup Cricket League-cum-knock-out Tournament in Kuala Lumpur, here today.
Batting first, the Mumbai outfit hit up 181 before they were all out in in 43.8 overs with Sachin Yadhav ( 31), skipper Vinayak Samant (41- 4×2, 6×1) and Shashi Kadam (42 – 4×1 6×1) being the principal run-getters. In reply, the Bangladesh team were bundled out for 102 with Aniket Redkar, Shashi Kadam and Murtuza Hussain sharing the bowling honours with two wickets apiece. Shashi Kadam, was adjudged the man-of-the-match for his allround show.
