Sea View enhanced their prospects of qualifying for the finals as they overcame Ave Maria SC 4-3 in a fast paced and thrilling Senior Division match of the MHAL (Mumbai Hockey Association Limited) League – 2015 and played at the MHAL Stadium, Churchgate on Saturday.
For Sea View, Anket Muthaya got the opening goal before Bhusin Thate netted a brace. Rahul Davakar struck a late winner in the 63rd minute to secure the win. Ave Maria, who trailed 0-3 fought back to level the scores with Kuldeep Singh scoring two goals and Naresh Chika one goal.
Sea View having registered 4 wins and 1 loss have a tally of 12 points the same as RCF who have a match in hand against Maharashtra State Police. The state cops currently have 6 points and two matches remaining against RCF and Bombay Republicans.
