MHAL Inter-schools report
Saurabh Gupta’s twin strikes helped St. Stanislaus High School rally to down Children’s Academy High School 2-1 in a Boys’ Pool A league match of the MHAL orgainsed Inter-Schools (Boys’ and Girls’ Under-16) Hockey Tournament played at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate.
Children’s Academy took the lead through Rhythm Mamnia’s 10 minute goal. But Stanislaus fought back and scored two goals through Saurabh in the 20th and 45th minute.
In an inconsequential match, St. Lawrence High School got the better of CBH High School by a narrow 1-0 margin. Faizan Shaikh scored the lone goal in the 26th minute.
Stanislaus, Don Bosco, Guru Nanak and Maharashtra Military School have qualified for the semi-finals in the boys’ category. In the girl’s section, St. Elias, St. Theresa’s, Durello Convent and St. Joseph’s have made the semi-finals.
Results – Boy’s league: St. Stanislaus, Bandra 2 (Saurabh Gupta 2) beat Children’s Academy 1 (Rhythm Mamnia).
St. Lawrence 1 (Faizan Shaikh) beat CBH High School 0.
