Satyam from Ghatkopar and Sangarsha from Goregaon had a smooth sailing against their respective rivals on their way to the women’s title round of the Poinsur Gymkhana 7th Open Kabaddi tournament, held at Country Parle Garden, Opposite Tata Steel (Borivali East) last night. The girls from Ghatkopar thrashed Jogeshwari’s Sanmitra 24-11, while Sangarsha outfit surprised fancied Mahatma Phule 28-18.However, earlier Sanmira had tough battle on hand in the quarterfinals, which they won 27- 25 against Om Navmaharashtra ( Borivali) a closest tie of the day.

The senior boys final will be contested by Sagar from Santacruz, who outplayed Swami Samarth 30-16 and Om Sai from Borivali got the better of lAbhinav (Goregaon) 26-16.
