SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 Cricket League starts from Sunday


The 8-team  SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League  kick starts  with a tie between  Chembur Stickers and Worli Pitch Smashers at  floodlit Police Gymkhana  ground, Marine Lines, tomorrow, Sunday , January 21. The match starts soon after the inaugural function.

 

There will be eight teams in the fray .viz. – Bandra Busters, Chembur Strikers, Mulund Master Blasters, Juhu Heroes, Santacruz Crackers, Borivali Warriors, Worli Pitch Smashers and Shivaji Park Superstars.

 

SAI Estate Consultants (Chembur) will be title sponsors along with  Paradigm Reality and powered by sponsors for Season-1,

 

Some  of the active players/owners like Pankaj Asrani (of Chembur Strikers team) said:  “I will be playing cricket after 4 to 5 years. MMPL is a great opportunity for people like me who are so busy with their professional life. Another cricket buff Vijay Jain (Owner of Mulund Master Blasters team) stated: “Never played cricket in my school or college days,  really excited and waiting for the tournament to start.”

 

.Ajay Chaturvedi (owner of Santacruz Crackers team) was full ofpraise stating that : “MMPL is a very unique concept, it will give professionals like us to showcase our skills in cricket and relive our childhood days.”Nishant Sabnis (of Shivaji Park Superstars team) said:”For me, MMPL wil bring back a lot of old memories as i don’t get to play cricket very often.’’  Niket Korgoankar (Captain of Borivali Warriors team) fine the concept fantastic.

 

Sagar Parikh  Owner of  Worli Pitch Smashers prfaisedd the concept as it motivates persons like us wholove the game. Shushil Gupta (Owner of Bandra Busters team) finds it as great platform for  seniors like him to show their talent.  While Sanjay Raut of Juhu Heroes hopes to win the league and take  home the trophy.
