Sagar Mitra Mandal struck good form to record a comfortable 2-0 win against Das Football Academy in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday. Rohit Chawan scored the opening goal in the 25th minute and Prashant Varankar added the second in the 58th minute to help the Mandal outfit take the full three points.
Earlier in a Third Division match, BPCL Marketing overcame South Mumbai FC by a narrow 1-0 margin. Striker B. Baumik scored the decisive winning goal.
In another match, Salcette FC ‘B’ got the better of Ummat-A-Milan 3-1. Harsh Madan and Ritvik Salian scored a goal each for Salcette, while Huzaifh Shaikh got the lone goal for the losers.
