Popular Veteran TT Player Uday Parulekar who regularly participated in the State and National level Masters TT tournaments, passed away today due to severe heart failure, at his native place in Vengurla, Sidhudurg. He was 63. He is survived by two daughters. Few yers ago, he had lost his wife. After retirement, he played table tennis in the Masters’ event and recently took part in the Vilas Mantri- Jagannath Mohite memorial and Govind Palwankar – Narayan Salian memorial Masters TT tournaments.
During his service period he also played in the Inter Institutional TT tournaments and used to practice at the Sachivalaya Gymkhana. He had received table tennis training from Late Jagannath Mohite. Always in a cheerful mood, Uday was friendly with all the players from Mumbai. He was very close to Mohite family. This sad news was confirmed by TT Coach and his family friend Mahendra Mohite.
