Popular singer Aadesh Shrivastava passed away during midnight hours, today morning. He was 51. He is survived by his wife, former Bollywood actress Vijeta Pandit and two sons Anivesh and Avitesh. Aadesh was diagnosed with cancer in December 2010 and went through chemotherapy. It was again reported in the media on 31 August 2015 that his cancer had relapsed for a third time, since his first attack in 2010 and he had been hospitalised for more than a month.
Aadesh got his first big break with film Kanyadaan in the year 1993. Among the singers who sang in this movie, there was Lata Mangeshkar who sang his first song. But the film did not release, and the songs went unnoticed. Some of the important films of aadesh were Paheli, Refugee, Hasina Maan Jayegi, Sailaaband Angaray. In fact, he had even acted in Angaray. Aadesh actually wanted to become an actor; but later turned a singer. His funeral will take place today afternoon at Oshivara crematorium. Magzmumbai prays for his soul to rest in peace.
