Charotter Rukhi Samaj produced a strong fighting display in the second half to overcome Athens XI 2-1 in a hard-fought Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday evening.
The Athens outfit did well to snatch lead through Amit Charak in the 14 minute. But, Rukhi Samaj came back fighting after the change of ends and scored two quick goals through Shailesh Solanki in the 41st minute and four minutes later through Rahul Solanki to clinch the match in their favour.
