Roark strikes winner for Remackyn SA


Remackyn SA playing displaying great determination managed to record a narrow 1-0 victory against Shelar FC in a fourth round league match of the inaugural Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL), organized by the Borivali Sports Foundation, and played at the St. Francis D’Assisi Ground, Borivali (W).

In an evenly contested encounter, striker Roark Countinho netted the lone goal in the 40th minute to help Remackyn clinch the win and all the three points. Brendon D’Souza of Remackyn SA was later named as the Big Boss Player of the Match.

 

In another league match, opportunistic scorer Agnelo Picardo was at his striking best as he fired in four goals, including three in quick succession in the second period to power Tigers FC to a facile 6-0 win against a hapless Challengers FC.

 

Agnelo netted the opening goal in the 12th minute as Tigers went into the break leading 1-0. After changing ends, Agnelo scored thrice to give Tigers a solid 4-0 lead before Jayesh Nair and Shivansh Rao scored a goal each in the final two minutes of the match.
