Ex-national selector and Test player Dilip Vengsarkar praised the champions Rizvi Springfield for their stupendous effort as they came out triumphant yet again when they outplayed Borivali’s Swami Vivekanand in the final of B.Khichadia-Khar Gymkhana tourney.
Both Sharad Pawar and Dilip Vengsarkar expressed hope that the organizers of both the tournaments will continue to promote the game at the grassroot level. Vengsarkar even recalled his association with the Khar Gymkhana tournament as a player.
Also present were former India opener Madhav Apte, Salim Durrani as well as MCA official PV Shetty and BCCI official Ratnakar Shetty.
