Mangalore Blues Sports Club scored a hard-fought 1-0 win against a doughty Union Sports Club in a league match of the 23rd Shri Late Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament 2018-2019 and played at Karnatak Sports Centre, Cross Maidan.
In a contested between two evenly matched outfits, Mangalore Blues did well to take a first half lead following Rishik Shetty’s header in the 26th minute.
Thereafter, Mangalore Blues defended well to hand on to their slender advantage to come out trumps and pocket the full three points which has enhanced their chances tto qualify for the knockout rounds.
