Rishab Choubey from Goregaon Sports Club, bagged two golds in the men’s 100m back stroke and 200m individual medley- both with record- breaking efforts on the opening day of the 47th YMCA Annual Swimming Gala at their swimming pool at Agripada here today.
Taking a brisk start, in the 100m back stroke, Rishab outpaced his rivals and in the process shattered the old mark of Raul Rajani set in 2014.Later, Rishab was again at his best as he set new record in the men’s 200m individual medley, bettering last year’s Chris Fernandes’s timing of 2:33.72secs, by clocking 2:30.66 secs. While another Goregaon Sports Club’s Abir Seth , sharing the day’s honours by setting new record (0:22.52 secs )in the , the 25m boys under-6 butterfly stroke.
