Resham Mahadik has been appointed captain of the 18-member Mumbai Junior Women team that will participate in the 6th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship – 2016, to be held at Ranchi from April 30 to May 8, 2016. Rani Gupta and Sikha Yadav are the two goalkeepers.

The team is being coached by Sukhdev Singh of Central Railway, while Januarita D’Souza of St. Andrew’s College is accompanying the team as Manager.
Mumbai are clubbed in Pool ‘C’ along with Hockey Punjab, Hockey Bhopal and Chhattisgarh Hockey. In the opening match Mumbai clash with Chhittisgarh on Monday morning. They next meet Punjab on Wednesday and take on Bhopal in the last Pool match on Thursday.
