Renowned Sports and Film Columnist Dwarkanath Sanzgiri passed away todayafter prolonged illness. He was 74. Known for his love for Cricket & Films , Sanzgiri was known for his insightful cricket analysis and humour filled stories on film industry took his followers down memory lane.

Sanzgiri was undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Sanzgiri made a name for himself as a columnist, author, commentator, television presenter and also as a musical shows presenter. In his career spanning close to 50 years, he had written columns for various magazines and newspapers in Marathi and also in some other regional languages, besides English.
Dwarkanath Sanzgiri had pursued two careers simultaneously, first as an Engineer with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, from where he retired in 2008 as the Chief Engineer, Water Supply Projects. Simultanously, he established himself as a Columnist, Writer and Presenter.
